The solubility of solid pharmaceutical compounds is a critical factor that their bioavailability, effectiveness, safety, and quality. Solubility determines how quickly and efficiently a drug can dissolve and be absorbed into the body, which can affect its bioavailability, therapeutic efficacy, and potential side effects. Therefore, understanding solubility is a crucial step in drug development, formulation, and dosage selection, as well as for ensuring the quality of medications throughout their shelf life.
The human body has a natural mechanism to stop bleeding after an injury. Platelets migrate to the site of injury and start to form a soft blood clot. This activates other clotting factors in the bloodstream triggering a chain reaction to form a harder blood clot that will stay firmly in place.
Rheological analysis is pivotal in ensuring the quality of cosmetic products. This study reveals how the ElastoSens™ Bio tool was used to characterize the viscoelastic properties of two different Nivea products under varying temperature conditions. Results highlight the divergent thermal responses of the products and underscore the effectiveness of ElastoSens™ Bio in understanding the thermal stability of creams.
