IoT ENABLED MODULARITY
The ElastoSens Bio uses Internet of Things (IoT) technology principles. Up to 5 instruments can be controlled by a single tablet App that uses wireless communication. This breakthrough innovation in the field of analytical instrumentation offers an unprecedented modularity to users. You can add at any time new measurement units to your ElastoSens Bio system to meet your evolving needs and workload.
NON DESTRUCTIVE VISCOELASTICITY TESTING
ElastoSens™ Bio uses removable sample holders that facilitate moving samples to and from an incubator for repeating non-invasive testing (hourly, daily or weekly). Because the ElastoSens™ Bio uses a non-invasive, contact free technology, you can measure the viscoelastic properties of the same sample (namely shear storage modulus G’, shear loss modulus G’’ and loss tagent tan(δ)) from formation to degradation over long periods of time. By removing samples, you can free up the instrument for other tests without destroying the material.
REAL TIME MEASUREMENT OF SWELLING & DEGRADATION
In addition to viscoelasticity, the ElastoSens™ Bio simultaneously measures in real time the sample’s height using a contact free sensor. The instrument captures volume changes due to the swelling or degradation of your material. These data are stored in the system’s database as part of the Soft Matter Analytics™.
UV LIGHT PHOTOSTIMULATION
Photostimulation option is available on the ElastoSens™ Bio thanks to 3 sets of built-in UV sources. During viscoelasticity testing, the sample can be irradiated at 365 nm, 385 nm and 405 nm with adjustable intensities. You can also program customized measurement sequences by alterning or combining different wavelengths and intensities.
ADVANCED TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Thermostimulation is included in the ElastoSens™ Bio. For most applications, temperature can be controlled between ambient temperature (i.e. room temperature + 2°C) and 50°C. An optional and powerful Peltier heating-cooling system can control the sample temperature between 4°C and 70°C. This option allows you building customized temperature profiles and may be combined with the ElastoSens Bio’s photostimulation system.
CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE
The sample atmosphere can be controlled on the ElastoSens™ Bio. The thermal chamber of the instrument includes standard gas tubes allowing you to inject controlled inert gas sources. You can easily prevent undesirable oxidation or hydrolysis reactions by replacing the air surrounding the sample by an inert gas like nitrogen or argon.
DATABASE & DATA MANAGEMENT
ElastoSens™ Bio’s user settings and data are stored in a database. You can export the database to perform further analysis or to merge it with other data sets. The database includes all the measurements stored in the system, customized descriptive parameters and fields, instrument settings as well as user profiles and authorizations. ElastoSens™ Bio’s App is password protected. In order to ensure data security and integrity, the system’s administrator sets profiles, manages users and can restrict the access to sensitive features and data.
