Esta arquitectura inorg\u00e1nico-org\u00e1nica \u00fanica le da al PDMS una movilidad de cadena excepcional, una temperatura de transici\u00f3n v\u00edtrea muy baja y un comportamiento elastom\u00e9rico estable en un amplio rango de temperaturas. El PDMS se produce exclusivamente mediante s\u00edntesis industrial, que suele implicar la hidr\u00f3lisis y la condensaci\u00f3n de clorosilanos, seguidas de la polimerizaci\u00f3n por apertura de anillo de siloxanos c\u00edclicos.  <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">El PDMS es, por naturaleza, <\/span><b>hidr\u00f3fobo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  y no absorbe ni se hincha en el agua. Por eso,   <\/span><b>El PDMS en s\u00ed mismo no es un hidrogel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, sino m\u00e1s bien un <\/span><b>elast\u00f3mero de silicona<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Sin embargo, el PDMS se suele incorporar en  <\/span><b>sistemas polim\u00e9ricos h\u00edbridos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, como las redes polim\u00e9ricas interpenetrantes o los hidrogeles de silicona, en los que una fase polim\u00e9rica hidr\u00f3fila permite la absorci\u00f3n de agua, mientras que el PDMS aporta elasticidad, permeabilidad y estabilidad mec\u00e1nica a largo plazo.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5703c6a elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget-mobile__width-inherit i\u00f3nico del enlace silox\u00e1nico.<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Mecanismos de polimerizaci\u00f3n:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Las cadenas de PDMS se forman mediante la polimerizaci\u00f3n por apertura de anillo de siloxanos c\u00edclicos.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br><\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Estrategias de reticulaci\u00f3n:<\/b><b><br><\/b><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Curado por condensaci\u00f3n mediante reacciones de silanol.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br><\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Curado por adici\u00f3n mediante hidrosililaci\u00f3n entre siloxanos con grupos vin\u00edlicos e hidruros.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br><\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reticulaci\u00f3n radicalaria o fotoiniciada, incluidas las reacciones tiol-eno.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br><\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Formaci\u00f3n de materiales h\u00edbridos:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: la elasticidad, la permeabilidad y el comportamiento viscoel\u00e1stico.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-30981bc mec\u00e1nicas blandas, similares a las del caucho, en las que predominan las respuestas el\u00e1sticas y viscoel\u00e1sticas.<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Elasticidad:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> La estructura flexible de siloxano permite grandes deformaciones reversibles con una hist\u00e9resis m\u00ednima.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br><\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Rigidez ajustable:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas se pueden ajustar en un amplio rango modificando la densidad de reticulaci\u00f3n, el peso molecular entre los enlaces de reticulaci\u00f3n o incorporando redes polim\u00e9ricas secundarias.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br><\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Comportamiento viscoel\u00e1stico:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> El PDMS presenta relajaci\u00f3n de la tensi\u00f3n dependiente del tiempo y disipaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda bajo cargas c\u00edclicas o continuas.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Estabilidad a largo plazo:<\/b> la estructura principal de siloxano, que no se degrada, ofrece una excelente durabilidad mec\u00e1nica en comparaci\u00f3n con muchos sistemas de hidrogel.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0959975 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0959975\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div bioinerte.<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Adhesi\u00f3n celular:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> El PDMS nativo es hidrof\u00f3bico y se resiste a la adsorci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas y a la adhesi\u00f3n celular; para favorecer interacciones celulares controladas, se suele recurrir a la modificaci\u00f3n de la superficie o a la hibridaci\u00f3n con pol\u00edmeros hidrof\u00edlicos.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br><\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Inmunogenicidad:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> El PDMS suele provocar una respuesta inflamatoria m\u00ednima en aplicaciones biom\u00e9dicas.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Degradaci\u00f3n:<\/b><span> El PDMS no es degradable enzim\u00e1ticamente, lo que permite su uso a largo plazo, pero limita las aplicaciones que requieren la renovaci\u00f3n de la matriz.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ba2f1b1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ba2f1b1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">El PDMS se usa mucho como <\/span><b>sustrato el\u00e1stico, componente de andamios y material estructural<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> en ingenier\u00eda de tejidos. Su rigidez ajustable, su transparencia \u00f3ptica y su compatibilidad con t\u00e9cnicas de micro y nanofabricaci\u00f3n permiten controlar con precisi\u00f3n las se\u00f1ales mec\u00e1nicas y la topograf\u00eda de la superficie. En muchos sistemas, el PDMS sirve como soporte mec\u00e1nicamente estable para los hidrogeles, que proporcionan un entorno que interact\u00faa con las c\u00e9lulas.  <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d01f123 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d01f123\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Cultivos celulares en 3D y modelos de enfermedades<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-137d5ec elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"137d5ec\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">El PDMS es un material fundamental para <\/span><b>dispositivos microflu\u00eddicos y plataformas de \u00f3rganos en un chip<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Aunque el PDMS en s\u00ed mismo no es un hidrogel, se suele combinar con compartimentos de hidrogel para crear sistemas de cultivo en 3D en los que se pueden controlar con precisi\u00f3n el transporte de nutrientes, el confinamiento mec\u00e1nico y los gradientes bioqu\u00edmicos.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c1cb3eb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c1cb3eb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Administraci\u00f3n de f\u00e1rmacos, genes y c\u00e9lulas<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ff74672 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ff74672\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PDMS participa en <\/span><b>sistemas de hidrogel de silicona y redes polim\u00e9ricas interpenetrantes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  Se usan para aplicaciones de administraci\u00f3n controlada de f\u00e1rmacos. En estos materiales h\u00edbridos, las fases polim\u00e9ricas hidrof\u00edlicas permiten la carga y la liberaci\u00f3n del f\u00e1rmaco, mientras que el PDMS aporta elasticidad, permeabilidad a los gases y resistencia mec\u00e1nica. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-892f73a elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget-mobile__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"892f73a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 es importante la viscoelasticidad de los pol\u00edmeros a base de PDMS?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-05c6bea elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"05c6bea\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aunque a menudo se describe como puramente el\u00e1stico, el PDMS presenta un <\/span><b>comportamiento viscoel\u00e1stico<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  que afecta directamente a su rendimiento funcional. La relajaci\u00f3n de tensiones y la amortiguaci\u00f3n, que dependen del tiempo, influyen en c\u00f3mo se transmiten y disipan las fuerzas bajo cargas sostenidas o c\u00edclicas. En aplicaciones biom\u00e9dicas y de mecanobiolog\u00eda, estas propiedades viscoel\u00e1sticas afectan a la mecanosensibilidad celular, a la estabilidad mec\u00e1nica a largo plazo y a la resistencia a la fatiga. En los sistemas de hidrogel que contienen PDMS, la respuesta viscoel\u00e1stica de la fase de PDMS juega un papel clave a la hora de definir el entorno mec\u00e1nico compuesto al que se ven sometidas las c\u00e9lulas.   <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-851f298 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget-mobile__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"851f298\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">M\u00e9todos para caracterizar la viscoelasticidad de los pol\u00edmeros a base de PDMS<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-171be53 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"171be53\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas y viscoel\u00e1sticas del PDMS suelen caracterizarse mediante ensayos de tracci\u00f3n, ensayos de compresi\u00f3n, reometr\u00eda y an\u00e1lisis mec\u00e1nico din\u00e1mico. Estas t\u00e9cnicas permiten medir el m\u00f3dulo el\u00e1stico, los m\u00f3dulos de almacenamiento y de p\u00e9rdida, y el comportamiento de amortiguaci\u00f3n. Al monitorizar los cambios en la respuesta vibratoria, permite medir con precisi\u00f3n las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas sin deformar f\u00edsicamente la muestra. Este m\u00e9todo resulta especialmente adecuado para pol\u00edmeros blandos a base de PDMS y sistemas de hidrogel que contienen PDMS.  <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Entre sus principales ventajas destacan los ensayos no destructivos, la monitorizaci\u00f3n en tiempo real, la alta sensibilidad y repetibilidad, y la compatibilidad con flujos de trabajo est\u00e9riles o con c\u00e9lulas. Se mezclaron los dos componentes en una proporci\u00f3n de 1:1 en peso. No se realiz\u00f3 ninguna etapa de desgasificaci\u00f3n antes de las pruebas.    <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Justo despu\u00e9s de mezclarlo, el PDMS sin curar se introdujo directamente en el soporte para muestras grandes (2,0 ml de volumen total). Para evitar que se secara la superficie y se evaporara durante los ensayos a largo plazo, se cubri\u00f3 la superficie de la muestra con un l\u00edquido antievaporaci\u00f3n. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Se hizo un seguimiento de la cin\u00e9tica de curado y la evoluci\u00f3n de la rigidez global durante un periodo de 24 horas a 70 \u00b0C con el ElastoSens Bio. Las mediciones se tomaron cada 20 segundos, lo que permiti\u00f3 registrar tanto el comportamiento del curado en las primeras fases como la aproximaci\u00f3n a la rigidez final en meseta. En la figura 1 se muestra la configuraci\u00f3n experimental.  <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4133609 e-grid e-con-full 400\">En la figura 2 se muestra la respuesta viscoel\u00e1stica en funci\u00f3n del tiempo de las muestras de PDMS Sylgard 527 en proporci\u00f3n 1:1. A lo largo del periodo de curado de 24 h, tanto el m\u00f3dulo de almacenamiento al cizallamiento (G\u2032) como el m\u00f3dulo de p\u00e9rdida al cizallamiento (G\u2033) aumentaron, lo que concuerda con la reticulaci\u00f3n progresiva y la formaci\u00f3n de la red. Al final del experimento, G\u2032 alcanz\u00f3 los 7048 \u00b1 43 Pa, mientras que G\u2033 se estabiliz\u00f3 en 2420 \u00b1 167 Pa. El valor final m\u00e1s alto de G\u2032 en comparaci\u00f3n con G\u2033 indica que la respuesta del material curado fue predominantemente el\u00e1stica, es decir, el almacenamiento de energ\u00eda en la red reticulada predomin\u00f3 sobre la disipaci\u00f3n viscosa de energ\u00eda.   <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">El factor de amortiguamiento (tan \u03b4 = G\u2033\/G\u2032) alcanz\u00f3 su valor m\u00e1ximo, de media, a los 9,54 min.
